THE ONE THOUSAND MISSION:
This year, more than ever before, Cornell needs your help to provide financial aid to students and families struggling with college education costs, diminished savings plans, declining New York State financial support, and to Cornell itself, which is wrestling with declining revenues, shrinking endowment, continued cost pressures, and need to provide more financial aid.
You may not know, for example, that Cornell provides more financial aid to more students than any other Ivy League School. Over 60% of our students this year received financial aid.
The One Thousand is a community of individuals committed to helping close the financial aid gap at the Hotel School by personally making a contribution to the Annual Fund and by personally recruiting friends, family, business associates, classmates, and others to do likewise. It is not sponsored by, managed, or any way affiliated with Cornell or the Hotel School, but 100% of all contributions will go directly to the School.
The One Thousand is a site for hotel school alumni and friends who are interested in blogging with influential industry executives such as Lee Pillsbury, the founder of the site! It's also a place to show your support of the school through giving and/or telling others. Checkout the points contest. Please also check back for new posts and new stuff! Go To The Blog.
